Calls for Projects

A

Annual calls for projects

Each year, the DIM ELICIT issues one or two calls for proposals to encourage technology and biology academic research teams to collaborate on innovative projects for life sciences. These calls for projects aim at funding projects of co-development, mutualization or dissemination of new methods or innovative technologies, for new applications in life sciences.

Any research team from the Ile de France region can apply with a project in line with the aims and positioning of the DIM ELICIT.
For more information on our core technologies and end-user applications, please see the “Presentation” page.

Applications will be assessed according to the following evaluation criteria:

  • Innovation and originality of the proposal
  • Scientific quality
  • Adequacy of resources with the proposed project

For more details regarding the allocations, timelines and funding amounts, please consult the pages dedicated to each call for projects, down below.

S

Special calls for projects

The DIM ELICIT also issues specific calls for projects aimed at funding innovative projects for new applications in life sciences, to meet current needs, motivated by the Ile-de-France region, such as the “Paris Region Fellowship Program” or the call for projects “Fight SARS-Cov2”.

For more details regarding the allocations, timelines and funding amounts, please consult the pages dedicated to each call for projects, down below.

F

Financing of events

In order to promote exchanges within the scientific community, to show the potential and the impact of technologies for life sciences and to make people discover the researches carried out on the Ile-de-France territory, the DIM ELICIT proposes a financial support to scientific events.

For more information on our core technologies and end-user applications, please see the “Presentation” page.

If you meet the conditions detailed below, do not hesitate to fill in the application form. We undertake to acknowledge receipt of your application within one week.

Goals

You design or use innovative technologies such as microfluidics, biophotonics and waves or image analysis for biological research and you have an event to organize?

You are an actor of the science engagement field and wish to design a project around these scientific technologies?

The DIM ELICIT can support :

  • events (seminars, specialized workshops, summer schools, MOOC etc.) for scientists
  • projects to disseminate sciences to the general public (conferences, meetings, partnerships with museums or science centers, interventions in schools, “Art & Science” projects, etc.).

The main mission of DIM ELICIT is to support research teams in the Paris region to design breakthrough technologies or disseminate them for first applications in biology, through calls for projects.

Fostering exchanges within the scientific community, revealing the potential and the impacts of technologies for life sciences and introducing Ile-de-France residents to the research conducted in their region are also part of the DIM ELICIT’s missions.

Terms

The event must take place in the Ile-de-France region, and must be organized or animated by an Ile-de-France research team.

The event must focus on at least one of DIM ELICIT’s core technologies (microfluidics, biophotonics and waves, image analysis) or on one of its end-user applications (single cell/single molecule, organs on chips, technologies for the in vivo study of animal models, high-performance and low-cost technologies).

The ” Région Ile-de-France ” and the ” DIM ELICIT ” will have to be mentioned as sponsors of the event with the presence of the logos.

Details and instructions

Applications may be submitted at any time. The DIM ELICIT will evaluate the proposals on an ongoing basis (every two to three months), and may allocate up to €5,000 per project.

The event must be planned within 6 months after the submission of the application.

If you meet the conditions, please do not hesitate to fill in the application form above. We undertake to acknowledge receipt of your application within one week.
