Call for projects 2021 : Paris Region PhD²

The Region Ile de France (IDF) supports scientific employment in line with the needs of companies by co-financing doctoral grants. Projects relating to a Domain of Main Interest and associating a laboratory and a company are eligible. The particularity of this program is that it aims to associate academic laboratories, companies and doctoral students on priority research axes for the IDF, research axes for which the contribution of digital is impactful and crucial (robotics, machine learning, big data, deep learning, humanities digital, digital processing and digital modeling).

Scope : The expected research projects will target the challenges of the digital development of companies (IoT, AI, blockchain, big data, robotics, etc.) and will focus on research axes linked to the economic and societal challenges targeted by the IDF within the framework of the Domains of Main Interest (DIM). In connection with its strategic priorities in 2021, “health” and “human and social sciences”, the IDF pays particular attention to projects mobilizing artificial intelligence technologies applied to the fields of health and digital humanities, focusing on forward the forces of IDF in these areas.

• Your subject of research must belong to one of the 13 DIM (included DIM ELICIT core technologies or end-user applications) WITH a high digital imput

• Cofunding must be provided by the academic and economic partners (supplement to the doctoral student’s salary, environmental costs, etc.)
• –
• Projects must be the result of a partnership between one (or more) academic research laboratory(ies) and one (or more) company(ies).
• –
• Academic structures: non-profit, public or private higher education or research establishment in the IDF – welcome lab located in the IDF.
• –
• Applicant must have a master’s degree or equivalent diploma (without a PhD).

In 2021, 100 PhD scholarships (100 000,00 €) will be granted by the Ile-de-France Region.
