Biological images contain a great deal of data that may escape the human eye. Computer-assisted image analysis has radically changed the methods of measurement and study of living things.

“People find it hard to realize that a machine can do at least as well, if not better, and can replace them for a number of tasks related to the extraction of scientific data.” Jean-Christophe Olivo-Marin

The Biological Image Analysis Unit of the Institut Pasteur is, as its name suggests, specialized in this innovative technology. Its researchers invite us to discover it, in images, of course! (video in french)
