The DIM ELICIT -Empowering LIfe sCiences with Innovative Technologies- will participate in several actions organized as part of the Science Festival:
– Village des Sciences de Sorbonne Université
Meet us on the “Science in all its DIMensions” stand, alongside the DIM (Domains of Main Interest of the Ile-de-France region) MAP, QI2, Respore and SIRTEQ.
We will propose to the public an animation to discover and understand microfluidics, designed in partnership with Planète Sciences and Samy Gobaa’s team, in charge of the Biomaterials and Microfluidics platform (Institut Pasteur).

– Institut Pasteur’s open day, as part of the Pasteurdon
The public will be able to test the DIVA virtual reality device, which improves the analysis of biomedical and microscopic images. This experiment is proposed by Jean-Baptiste Masson’s team, in charge of the research group “Decision and bayesian computation » (Institut Pateur/ Institut Curie).

– Educational workshops at the Collège de France
About ten practical and interactive workshops will be offered to the public allowing them to discover some of the research methods and technologies that accompany them, from DNA extraction to the discovery of electronic imaging. The team of Olivier Espeli, research director at the Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche en Biologie (CIRB), which works on high-resolution microscopy, will participate in the “observe bacteria” and “DNA in all its states” workshops.
